Popularly known as a singer, actor, and activist, Clay Holmes Grissom (Clay Aiken) was born on November 30, 1978, in Raleigh, North Carolina. He participated in American Idol in 2003 and was the runner-up of the season. He has released several albums, including Merry Christmas with Love (2004), A Thousand Different Ways (2006), On My Way Here (2008), Tried and True (2010), and Steadfast (2012). His debut album 'Measure of a Man' (2003) went triple platinum and sold over 600,00 in the first week of its release. He has approximately sold over 5 million albums and is the fourth highest-selling artist of American Idol. He has made guest appearances on various TV shows, including Saturday Night Live!, Good Morning America, and the Disney show Phineas and Ferb. He was also involved in the Broadway show Spamalot, where he played the role of Sir Robin. Clay has been a UNICEF ambassador and has worked for people with autism and intellectual disabilities. He ran for Congress in 2014.
