An English actor, Christopher Eccleston first gained public recognition with the film ‘Let Him Have It’ in 1991. That same year he was also seen in ‘Second Time Around’. He is best known for the film ‘Shallow Grave’ and his performances in the television series ‘Hillsborough’ and ‘Cracker’. His performance in the miniseries called ‘Our Friends in the North’ in 1996, on the BBC gained him huge popularity and recognition. Christopher was nominated for the BAFTA Awards for this role. His second BAFTA nomination came for the drama ‘The Second Coming’ on ITV. Some of his popular television performances include Inspector Morse, Linda Green, Doctor Who, The A Word and The Shadow Line. Eccleston’s film career includes films like A Prince Above Rubies, Revengers Tragedy, Song for Marion, The Invisible Circus, and I Am Dina. He won several awards in his career including the Emmy Awards for Best Actor in 2011 and a TV Choice Award.
