Christine Evert, popularly known as Chris Evert is one of the most accomplished tennis players, defending her world number one rank for almost seven years. When she was five, her father began to coach her. Evert earned her year-end number one ranking for under 14 female tennis players in the USA in the year 1969. She made her Grand Slam debut at the age of 16 at the 1971 US Open. After winning the under-16 national championships, she got invited to compete alongside the best players in the world. She would go on to win 157 championships in the singles category and 32 in the doubles category. After retiring, she served as the president of the Women's Tennis Association for eleven years. She was even honored with the Philippe Chatrier Award. Currently, she is an analyst for ESPN and also has her line of active apparel.
