+16 Born on September 19, 1962 in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, as Cheryl Ann Oteri, Cheri Oteri started her career by moving to Los Angeles and working as a representative at A&M records for nearly four years before deciding to pursue her passion of being a comedian. She joined the infamous comedy troupe ‘The Groundlings’, where Oteri would learn to hone her comedic timing and delivery. Chery was accidentally discovered by one of the producers of the television talk show ‘Saturday Night Live’ when she performed a monologue during her colleague’s set. She was invited to audition for a role on SNL with her colleagues Will Ferrel and Chris Kattan, where she was cast in a recurring role. Her newfound fame led Chery to star in several commercial feature films such as ‘When Harry Met Lloyd’, ‘Dumb and Dumber, ‘Shrek the third’, and ‘Southland Tales’. In 2016, she hosted AXS’ television special ‘Gotham Comedy Live’.
