Carrie Brownstein is an American musician, actress, writer, director and comedian. She started the band Excuse 17 before forming the rock band Sleater-Kinney, followed by the group ‘Wild Flag’. During this time period, she wrote and appeared in comedy sketches along with Fred Armisen. These comedy sketches were later developed into the satirical comedy TV series ‘Portlandia’. In 2018, Carrie was nominated for Emmy Awards under the category ‘Outstanding Directing for a Variety Series’ for Portlandia. She is very popular for her sexy moves as she plays the guitar. Carrie was seen opposite James Mercer in the independent film ‘Some Days Are Better Than Others’. She also gave a cameo appearance on ‘Saturday Night Live’ in a few of its episodes.
