Carl Ashley Raphael Barât is a British musician who was born on 6 June 1978, in Hampshire, England. He formed a popular garage rock band with Pete Doherty by the name of ‘The Libertines’ which dissolved at the beginning of 2005. After the dissolution of The Libertines, he formed ‘Dirty Pretty Things’ with Gary Powell, Anthony Rossomando, and Didz Hammond in 2005. He is the brother of actress Lucie Barât. A few of his popular songs include Can’t Stand Me Now, Time for Heroes, Don’t Look Back Into The Sun, You’re my Waterloo, Death on the Stairs, What Katie Did, What a Waster, to name a few. He has also been part of other music groups in his career, ‘The Chavs’ and ‘The Bottletop Band’. He announced his new band ‘The Jackals’ in 2014 and launched his music album ‘Let It Reign’. Barat has also made appearances in a few films and TV projects that have won him immense popularity.
