Bleona Qereti was born on May 14, 1979 in Tirana, Albania, where she became a name synonymous with music. She released her first single, 'Lermeni' meaning 'Let Me Be Free' in 1996, following which her debut album, Kam Qejfin Tim (1997), was released. Bleona also toured in Germany and Switzerland the same year. She is multilingual and can sing in English, Italian, Albanian and German. She released three albums in three successive years, S'me Benet Vone (2001), Ik Meso Si Dashurohet (2002), and Ti Nuk Di As Me Ma Lyp (2003), and released the next two albums in 2005. Bleona has worked closely with Lady Gaga, David Foster, and Rodney Jerkins when she started residing in California. Her single "S Dua" won Albania's highest music award, the Media Award at the Magic Music Song Festival Awards. She has appeared on several television shows, including Euros of Hollywood (2014) and Your Face Sounds Familiar Albania (2016).
