Blanca Maria Gutierrez Ortiz is a Spanish dancer, choreographer, filmmaker, and director. She was born in Granada, Spain, on January 12, 1964. As a child she received flamenco classes. At the age of 12, she joined the national gymnastics team. Li herself studied at the Martha Graham School in N.Y, then at the Alvin Ailey School, Paul Sanasardo, and Clark Center.Li settles in France (1992) where she created her own contemporary dance company. She takes her creativity to film, advertising and video clips, she writes and creates her first short film "Angoisse" (1998). She then premiered the play "Macadam Macadam" (1999). Her first feature film was the musical "Le Défi" (2001). Li is appointed artistic director of the Andalusian Dance Center in Seville (2006). She got her second feature film "Pas à Pas" (2006) and opened in Paris. I received the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts (2008).
