Born on  May 17, 1955 in Texas, USA as William Paxton, Bill was one of his generation’s best performers and filmmakers. One of his earliest roles saw him as a goon in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s iconic ‘The Terminator’. At the time, he was also busy launching his musical career with a close friend, Andrew Todd Rosenthal, who formed a new generation pop-rock band called the ‘Martini Ranch’ with him. Their first and only full-length album ‘Holy Cow’ was released in 1988 via Sire Records. He played minor roles in several other movies such as ‘Streets Of Fire’, ‘Weird Science’, and ‘Aliens’. Paxton’s work in these movies inspired him to direct short films of his own such as ‘Frailty’, ‘The Greatest Game Ever Played’ and ‘Tattoo’. His performance in the movie ‘Apollo 13’ won him the Outstanding Performance By Cast In A Motion Picture award by the Screen Actors Guild in 1996. Bill Paxton passed away in February 2017.
