Singer and songwriter Geneviève Alison Jane Moyet was born in 1961 in England. Moyet's musical career started with Yazoo, a synth-pop band with Vince Clarke. The most popular numbers of this duo band are ‘Only You’, ‘Don't Go’, and ‘Situation’. The albums recorded were ‘Upstairs at Eric's’ and ‘You and Me Both’. After Yazoo disbanded in 1984, Moyet released her debut album ‘Alf’, which instantly hit and became the year's No.1. The following year, Moyet came back with another sensational hit, ‘Is This Love?’. She took a career break for personal reasons after Hoodoo (1991) and Essex (1994) were released. In 2002 Moyet came back as a Top Five Best Selling Female UK Artists 2002 with her album ‘Hometime’. She released another two albums, ‘Voice’ and ‘The Turn’, in the coming years. In 2013 ‘The Minutes’ came out and became her biggest hit. Moyet has also released two live albums, ‘Minutes and Seconds – Live’ and ‘The Other Live Collection’, based on her tour with her ninth album ‘Other’.
