Marie McDonald Mclaughlin Lawrie, Lulu is a Scottish singer-songwriter, model, actress, and entrepreneur, who was born on November 3, 1948, in Lennox Castle, Lennoxtown, Glasgow. Lulu showed interest in singing at a very young age. In her teens, she performed with a local band called Bell Rocks. Later, Lulu signed with Decca Records and appeared in the film To Sir With Love alongside Sydney Poitier. She toured Poland with Hollies and recorded tracks. Lulu released the album Melody Fair. She also recorded the theme song for the James Bond movie The Man With the Golden Gun. She was nominated for a Grammy for her song Who's Fooling Who and had many hits on various labels like Atco, Alfa, RCA. Lulu has been associated with the Atlantic, Utopia, and Rocket. She sang with Elton John in Together. Lulu also hosted several one-off specials like Luli at Bernie's Restaurant. Also represented the Uk in the Eurovision song contest and performed the song Boom Bang a Bang. Lulu released her Autobiography I Don't Want To Fight.
