Born in Rome, Antonio Sabato Jr. started as a model on the cover of Playgirl magazine in 1993, represented by Omar Alberto. He rose to prominence after working as an underwear model for Calvin Klein in 1996. He debuted as an actor in Italian films in 1990. In the television show General Hospital (1992-1995), his character, Jagger Cates, gave his acting career a boost.
