Finnish-German racecar driver Nico Rosberg currently drives for Mercedes AMG Petronas Motorsport. He is the son of Formula One World Champion, Keke Rosberg, making a career in racing one of his first choices. At the age of six, he started entering competitive go-kart races. After winning regional, national and international titles, he progressed to professional car racing at 16. He won nine races for VIVA racing to become the 2002 Formula BMC ADAC Champion. He then won the GP2 series in 2005 after which he made his Formula One debut with Williams. After two podium finishes for the team in 2008, he moved on to Mercedes, partnering with seven-time Formula One champion Michael Schumacher. His first Formula One came with the 2102 Chinese Grand Prix. In 2016, after a title win, he announced his retirement from the sport. The following year, he was inducted into the FIA Hall of Fame and even won the Laureus World Sports Award for Breakthrough of the Year.
