American profession basketball player, Michael Beasley is considered one of the best freshman basketball players of all times. He was born in Maryland and started his career playing for the PG Jaguars, one of the best AAU Youth Basketball teams at that time. But, it was his college career that genuinely brought him several accolades and honours. He played for Kansas State and was considered one of the most dominant players in the circuit. He holds the record for the most number of rebounds for a Big 12 player. In the 2008 NBA draft, he was selected 2nd overall and picked up by Miami Heat. Within two years, he began to lead his team to victories against popular basketball teams like the Memphis Grizzlies. Beasley has played for several teams including the New York Knicks and the LA Lakers. During his season with New York Knicks, he even became the first NBA player since the 1970-71 season to score 32 points and 12 rebounds after coming off the bench.
