Born in 1982, Li Na is a retired tennis player from China, who was once No. 2 on the WTA ranking. Throughout her career as a tennis player, Li Na has won several matches including the Australian Open, French Open, two Grand Slam singles titles, and 9 WTA singles titles. She rose to fame when she started having one win after the other. Li Na was the first champion of Grand Slam singles, who was from Asia. She has represented an Asian country in the finals of Gram Slam Singles, has been the runner-up at Australian Open in 2013, and was Wimbledon’s three-time quarterfinalist. Some of her other notable achievements include being the first Chinese player to have won a WTA Tour title, and being Grand Slam singles first woman quarterfinalist. Li Na retired in 2014 when she was 32, and received the honour of induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame.
