Schlenzka was a freelancer for two years before meeting Carine Roitfeld and becoming one of the editors of Dazed and Confused. Aside from D&C, Sclenzka also contributed to different publications such as Common & Sense Magazine, Vogue China, Vogue US, Vogue UK, and Elle UK. In 2012, Joanna Schlenzka worked with brands Hobbs and Maison Margiela for successful campaigns. Three years later, she worked with Manish Arora in their Street Campaign AW 2015. Schlenzka was also invited to join numerous shows in Fashion Week. Right now, she is represented by Saint Luke and is currently based in London.
